Flavour of All Kind

Have you ever tried to taste 5 flavour in one drink? I did when I was in Seoul, Korea. Meet omija cha a.k.a five flavour berry that has a latin name Schisandra Chinensis. Sweet, sour, spicy, bitter, and salty, all in this clear reddish soup. Mine served with 2 peanuts that float on top.

I was amused. I was silenced for a few seconds, experiencing the unity of the taste, trying to figured out how I feel. I’m not gonna say I don’t like it. It’s just I haven’t got used to the complexity of the taste. It’s like when you got hit by life all at once, and have this mixture of feeling.

But if drinking this omija experience made you feel shocked, you can still neutralized it with water. How about in life? Especially if that one feeling you’re experiencing right now is missing someone. Do you know any remedy for that? Because I dont think drinking water nor alcohol can swept away those kind of feeling.

PS. Ready or not, just drink this omija. If you don’t like it, at least, it will enrich and broadened your perspective about drinks. Got it?
